ABOUT MANDERA TEACHERS COLLEGE
Mandera Teachers Training College was established in 2016 to address the critical shortage of qualified primary school teachers in Mandera County. The institution was founded as a response to the region’s unique challenges in access to quality education, including a lack of sufficient teachers and the need for tailored training to serve the area’s diverse communities.
The college began its journey with the mission to equip aspiring educators with the skills, needed to transform education in underrepresented regions. With a strong focus on Diploma Primary Teachers Education (DPTE), MTTC aimed to prepare highly qualified teachers capable of fostering excellence and inclusivity in primary education.
